PDIC auctions prime assets via e-bidding

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) will conduct an electronic public bidding for prime corporate and closed-bank properties on April 22–23, offering investors a diverse portfolio of real estate assets across the country through its online bidding platform.

The disposal program forms part of PDIC’s mandate as statutory receiver for shuttered banks, allowing it to liquidate remaining assets and channel proceeds into the Deposit Insurance Fund. The fund backs payouts to depositors with valid insurance claims and helps cover outstanding obligations of failed institutions.

The upcoming e-bidding will feature several headline properties with clear commercial potential.

Among them are a vacant commercial lot in Kidapawan City, a site seen as attractive for development in the fast-growing capital of North Cotabato; a commercial lot with improvements in Kalibo, situated in an emerging business and lifestyle district; and an industrial property with improvements in General Santos City, one of Mindanao’s key trading and logistics hubs.

Beyond these marquee assets, the sale also includes a wider pool of properties aimed at investors seeking land banking or redevelopment opportunities. The portfolio comprises 25 agricultural lots, 19 residential lots, and three mixed residential–agricultural properties.

Parcel sizes range from compact 100-square-meter plots to landholdings as large as 10.5 hectares, providing options for small investors as well as larger developers.

The assets are spread across multiple provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao, including Aklan, Antique, Bohol, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Cebu, Negros Oriental, Southern Leyte, North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao City, and Surigao del Sur.

All properties will be sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis. PDIC is urging bidders to conduct due diligence on property conditions, documentation, and occupancy before submitting offers through its e-bidding portal.
