Cebu is set to become a major hub for world-class entertainment as SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime) prepares to open the SM Seaside Cebu Arena next month. The venue, the company’s second arena in the Philippines, is designed to host concerts, sports events, and large-scale gatherings.
“The enduring success of SM MOA Arena demonstrates strong demand for top-tier entertainment venues,” said SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim. “Cebu is a key growth center, and this arena will attract major events, boost tourism, and drive economic activity for the region.”
The seven-story arena can accommodate up to 25,000 guests, making it one of the country’s largest indoor venues. Its adaptable event bowl allows configurations for both large concerts and more intimate gatherings.
Spectators can enjoy a 360-degree viewing experience thanks to center-hung displays and LED ribbon boards, while 5G connectivity ensures real-time digital engagement. The arena also features premium suites, a practice court, and multi-purpose spaces for conferences or breakout events.
Strategically located within the SM Seaside Complex, the arena offers direct access to retail, hotels, and transport links, with Mactan-Cebu International Airport nearby, enhancing its appeal as a regional destination.
Even before its official opening, the arena has secured bookings from major acts, including BINI on July 11, IV of Spades on July 18, TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan on September 5, and LANY on November 6 and 12. The early lineup signals strong demand and cements Cebu’s emerging status as a Southeast Asian entertainment destination.
