Bank of the Philippine Islands has been named one of the Best Workplaces™ in the Philippines for 2026 by Great Place to Work, becoming the only bank in the country to make this year’s list.
The recognition highlights BPI’s strong employee-focused culture, placing it alongside major global and local organizations, including financial firms such as Visa and American Express.
The ranking was based on employee feedback about trust, workplace experience, and company culture. Internal survey results showed that 94 percent of BPI employees are proud to work for the bank, while 88 percent consider it a great workplace.
BPI said its people-first approach includes flexible work arrangements, employee wellness programs, learning opportunities, and support systems for workers facing health and personal challenges. The bank also reported a 95 percent employee engagement rate.
The development is significant because it shows how workplace culture is becoming a key measure of success in the banking industry, beyond financial performance alone. For BPI, the recognition strengthens its reputation as an employer that prioritizes employee well-being, which can help attract and retain talent in a competitive financial sector.
