SM Prime Holdings, Inc. has partnered with Ticketmaster to launch SM Ticketmaster, a new digital ticketing platform set to replace SM Tickets and expand online ticketing services across the Philippines amid rising demand for live entertainment.
The collaboration marks Ticketmaster’s entry into the Philippine market, targeting concerts, sports events, and large-scale productions, both local and international. SM Ticketmaster will combine Ticketmaster’s global ticketing technology, product innovation, and fraud-prevention systems with SM Prime’s extensive local market knowledge and venue network.
Jeffrey C. Lim, president of SM Prime, highlighted the benefits for consumers: “Our goal is to make the ticket-buying experience more reliable, secure and convenient for customers. Through this partnership, we are combining Ticketmaster’s global technology with our local expertise to support the next phase of live entertainment in the Philippines.”
The platform will serve both SM Prime-owned venues—such as SM Mall of Asia Arena, SMDC Festival Grounds, and the upcoming SM Seaside Cebu Arena—and third-party events. Jim Kotsonis, Ticketmaster Asia-Pacific VP, said the Philippines represents a high-growth market and a strategic step in regional expansion.
SM Ticketmaster will offer end-to-end services, including ticketing operations, marketing support, and customer service for event promoters and venues. Over the coming weeks, SM Tickets will transition to the new platform, with fans urged to register early for upcoming international acts including Charlie Puth, LANY, Jason Mraz, and EXO.
The partnership signals a digital pivot in Philippine live entertainment, addressing growing demand for seamless, secure ticketing experiences.
By combining Ticketmaster’s technological capabilities with SM Prime’s local reach, the platform may streamline event management while reducing ticket fraud.
