Movem Electric, Inc., a subsidiary of Meralco, has restated its dedication to advancing the Philippines’ electric vehicle (EV) sector through scalable and future-ready charging technologies.
During the Solar & Storage Live Philippines 2026 conference from 19–20 May, Movem CEO Ralph M. Menchavez joined industry leaders to discuss faster EV adoption, expanded charging networks, and the shift to cleaner transport. He stressed that reliable, accessible charging infrastructure is key to building public trust and supporting long-term industry growth, while noting that solutions must adapt to changing user and system needs.
Menchavez emphasized that success requires strong cooperation between government and private players, plus targeted incentives to drive investment and usage. Both Meralco and Movem remain focused on supporting sustainable transport, grid readiness, and the full development of the local EV ecosystem — a critical step toward a greener, more sustainable transportation future for the country.
