The Aboitiz Foundation is expanding its digital workforce development efforts with AIDA Plus, a new skills-to-employment platform designed to prepare more Filipinos for opportunities in the growing digital economy.
Building on its flagship initiative, Elevate AIDA, which originally trained women in AI data annotation for remote work, AIDA Plus now welcomes learners of all genders. The program introduces new training tracks in high-demand areas, including virtual assistance, cloud accounting, data analysis, and digital illustration.
The nationwide rollout began with partnership agreements in CALABARZON and Mindanao, highlighting the role of regional collaboration in addressing employment gaps and strengthening digital workforce readiness.
The initiative aims to help generate 300,000 jobs through strategic partnerships and inclusive workforce programs.
Participants completing the program receive TESDA-certified credentials, boosting employability both locally and abroad. In Laguna, the foundation partnered with TESDA IV-A and the Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades to train 500 scholars in virtual assistance, linking them directly to employment through Cyberbacker.
In Davao, a separate three-year collaboration with TESDA Region XI and Ring Circle BPO will start in 2026 with at least 500 scholars.
Foundation resident Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar emphasized that the program goes beyond training, focusing on sustainable employment pathways and long-term economic participation.
By expanding access and aligning training with industry demand, AIDA Plus aims to equip Filipinos with the digital skills needed for the future, helping them thrive in a fast-evolving economy.
