FAST, DTI boost Northern Mindanao MSME logistics

FAST Logistics Group and Department of Trade and Industry Misamis Oriental have expanded their partnership to strengthen logistics support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Northern Mindanao, aiming to help local businesses reach wider markets and build more resilient supply chains.

The agreement was signed on May 23 during IFEX Philippines 2026 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila by Manuel L. Onrejas Jr. and Jesusa M. Abear.

Under the deal, FAST Logistics will provide end-to-end logistics services for MSMEs participating in trade fairs and nationwide market promotion activities. Support will include transportation, warehousing, on-site delivery, reverse logistics, and discounted shipping rates designed to cut operating costs and improve distribution efficiency.

A key feature of the partnership is the rollout of a forward stocking program that will allow MSME products to be pre-positioned in FAST warehouse facilities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The initiative is expected to speed up deliveries, improve inventory availability, and support faster order fulfillment for retailers, distributors, and institutional buyers.

The program is also expected to strengthen business continuity during typhoons and other supply chain disruptions, especially for enterprises reliant on inter-island trade.

FAST Logistics said the partnership supports its continued expansion in Northern Mindanao, where the company operates logistics hubs in Bulua, Tagoloan, Casinglot, and Opol, serving businesses across Misamis Oriental and nearby provinces.
