TransUnion appoints new chief data and analytics officer for Asia Pacific

TransUnion Information Solutions Inc., the Philippines’ first private credit reference agency, has named Avishek Ghosh as chief data and analytics officer for Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, he will lead the region’s data strategy, covering everything from data collection and analysis to generating insights and improving quality, to drive innovation and business growth.

Ghosh brings over 17 years of experience in global banking, having worked across Hong Kong, India, and the UK, and collaborated with teams across multiple regions including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. Before joining TransUnion, he was senior vice president at HSBC, where he managed unsecured lending operations across nine Asian markets. He holds a master’s degree in statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, and is an expert in advanced analytics and data leadership. His experience fits with TransUnion’s shift from a traditional credit agency to a provider of insights that help businesses make better decisions.

Marie Claire Lim Moore, TransUnion’s Asia-Pacific regional president and Hong Kong CEO, noted that reliable data is more important than ever amid economic uncertainty and rising fraud. Ghosh expressed pride in joining the company, stating that trusted insights are key to helping businesses and consumers adapt to a changing environment.
