BPI Foundation, Knowledge Channel renew partnership to boost financial literacy nationwide

The Bank of the Philippine Islands Foundation (BPIF) and Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) have renewed their partnership to expand financial education across the Philippines, building on successful programs launched in 2024.

This collaboration aims to equip Filipino youth and teachers with practical money skills through educational content, media, and community activities. Their earlier project, Estudyantipid, reached 10,000 public schools and millions of viewers via TV, cable, satellite, and YouTube. They also donated learning TVs to remote areas, benefiting over 9,000 students. The Department of Education praised the initiative for helping learners build resilience and abundance through knowledge.

For 2026, the program rolls out in two phases. First, two new video modules – Savings 2.0 and Fraud and Scam in Online Spaces – will teach budgeting, smart spending, and online safety. These materials target Grades 7–12 students and are expected to reach 5.5 to 6 million people by year-end through multiple broadcast and digital channels.

The second phase will bring financial literacy events to key provinces, including Rizal, South Cotabato, and Iloilo. Activities include donating digital learning TVs and community workshops, extending education to families and remote communities.

BPIF and KCFI noted that their multi-platform approach ensures even those with limited connectivity get access. In 2025 alone, their financial education efforts reached 3.3 million Filipinos. The partnership remains a key step toward broader financial inclusion and a more financially capable nation.
