Salmon Finance leads PH in global responsible finance standards

Salmon Finance Inc. has secured Silver-level Client Protection Certification under the Cerise+SPTF global standards, affirming its commitment to safe, fair, and transparent financial services in the Philippines.

Cerise+SPTF sets international benchmarks for responsible finance. The certification was independently verified by MicroFinanza Rating (MFR), an agency recognized by both the European Commission and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

To earn this recognition, Salmon met strict criteria covering fair pricing, clear communication, proper complaint handling, and ethical collection practices. For customers, this means no hidden fees, secure transactions, reliable support, and respectful treatment at every step.

Eunice Monsod, chief compliance officer at Salmon Group, said the certification proves client protection is part of the company’s core operations, not just a rule to follow. She added that true financial inclusion must improve lives through trusted, high-quality services.

Fewer than 100 institutions worldwide hold this certification; Salmon is one of only six in the Philippines. It is also among the first global adopters of Cerise+SPTF’s Digital Financial Services Standards, highlighting its leadership in safe digital finance.

As it expands, Salmon aims to show that business growth and customer responsibility can go hand-in-hand, building a financial system people can trust.
