Globe, MSEUF partner for first on-campus cell site in Lucena

Globe and Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) have signed an agreement to build Globe’s first on-campus cell site in Lucena City, a move set to boost reliable connectivity across Southern Luzon and advance digital inclusion in the area.

As one of Quezon province’s leading universities, MSEUF is recognized for its strong academic programs and regional leadership in education and innovation. The new infrastructure will improve network coverage within the campus and nearby areas, giving students, teachers, residents, businesses, and public institutions better access to fast, stable internet.

For the academic community, enhanced connectivity will support online learning, research tools, digital libraries, and AI-enabled education, helping build a modern, future-ready learning environment. Beyond the campus, residents, workers, and commuters will gain more reliable access to communication, online services, and emergency support. Local small businesses will also benefit through easier use of digital payments, e-commerce, and online transactions.

The collaboration goes beyond network expansion. Both parties plan to work together on next-generation technology, cybersecurity, internships, and curriculum development, while integrating MSEUF into Globe’s Digital Thumbprint Program to teach responsible digital use and online safety.

According to Globe officials, the project is part of the company’s wider push to expand access nationwide, linking improved connectivity to better education, local economic growth, and youth empowerment. It bridges academic learning and industry needs, helping prepare students with skills for the digital economy while supporting community development through technology.
