At MWC Shanghai 2026, Globe president and CEO Carl Cruz stated during a keynote that AI’s true value lies in improving lives, not the technology itself. Speaking alongside global telecom leaders, Cruz noted the Philippines’ strong digital footprint makes it well-placed to benefit from AI.
Globe formed a dedicated AI unit in 2024 to drive responsible scaling, with over 260 use cases developed so far. The firm focuses on four key areas: personalization, customer experience, smarter networks, and new offerings. Cruz emphasized AI is a tool to serve people better, as Globe builds innovation grounded in trust and shared progress.
