SM Investments Corporation (SMIC), parent of the SM Group, has been recognized in Alpha Southeast Asia’s 16th Annual Poll of Southeast Asia’s Top Companies as the Philippines’ Best in Strategic CSR & ESG Reporting. It also placed among the country’s top five firms for corporate governance standards and investor relations support. SMIC executive vice president Erwin G. Pato was additionally named Best CFO in the Philippines.
Based on responses from over 580 global investors and analysts surveyed between January and April 2026, the awards reflect strong market confidence in the group’s transparency and long-term value approach. SMIC president Frederic C. DyBuncio noted good governance and sustainability go hand in hand in guiding the company’s decisions, while Alpha Southeast Asia publisher Siddiq Bazarwala cited SMIC’s clear sustainability communication and consistent leadership commitment.
