Manulife China Bank Life, the partnership between Manulife Philippines and China Banking Corporation, is launching a new cancer support program to help customers take charge of their health. Through the ManulifeMOVE Cancer Care initiative, eligible clients will gain access to an advanced multi-cancer detection test from Guardant Health, which will also be offered directly by Manulife Philippines soon. Manulife is the first insurer in Asia to provide this test across Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines.
The Shield test screens for 10 common high-risk cancers with just one blood sample, and has earned breakthrough recognition from the U.S. FDA. It is made available through collaborations with local healthcare provider AC Health and its Healthway Cancer Care Hospital, the country’s first dedicated comprehensive cancer facility. Leaders say early detection helps avoid limited treatment options and heavy financial burdens many Filipino families face when cancer is found too late. Qualified customers will receive details about the test through their financial advisors.
