Ayala Corp. and JG Summit Holdings Inc. have joined the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) expanding Supply Chain and Logistics Center (SCLC), strengthening a public-private initiative designed to give micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) easier access to logistics services and supply chain expertise.
Their logistics units, Ayala Land’s AC Logistics and Robinsons Land’s Robinsons Logistics (RLX), signed the DTI’s Pledge of Commitment alongside AP Cargo, Crystal Cold Storage, DSV, Magsaysay Transport & Logistics, Orient Freight, SGV and UPS, becoming the latest partners to support the government’s logistics modernization program.
The addition of two of the country’s largest conglomerates significantly expands the SCLC’s reach, bringing together major logistics providers, global freight networks, logistics real estate operators and compliance specialists under one platform.
Launched in June 2025 with 18 founding partners, including FedEx, Grab, Maersk and 2GO Express, the SCLC features an online portal where MSMEs can compare logistics providers, explore services and identify solutions tailored to their business needs.
The platform was further strengthened in February 2026 with the formation of the Supply Chain and Logistics Guild, a network of 33 industry experts providing free advisory services to MSMEs on cold chain management, agrilogistics, customs compliance, warehousing and the use of artificial intelligence in supply chains.
The participation of Ayala and JG Summit reflects growing private sector support for the DTI’s strategy of addressing long-standing logistics bottlenecks that have constrained the growth of smaller businesses.
By expanding the pool of participating companies, the government hopes to make logistics services more accessible, reliable and affordable, particularly for enterprises operating outside major urban centers and in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
For MSMEs, better access to logistics providers can translate into faster deliveries, lower transportation costs and improved competitiveness in both domestic and export markets. For the broader economy, stronger collaboration between government and industry could help build a more resilient and efficient supply chain ecosystem, supporting trade, investment and business expansion as the Philippines continues to modernize its logistics infrastructure.
