Alphabet Inc., the parent company search engine Google, is turning artificial intelligence into a powerful growth machine, posting a blockbuster second quarter as surging cloud demand, stronger search activity, and rapid AI adoption lifted revenues and profits to new heights.
For the quarter ended June 30, Alphabet reported revenues of USD119.8 billion, a 24 percent jump from a year earlier and its 12th straight quarter of double-digit growth.
The company’s core Google Services business continued to deliver the bulk of sales, reaching USD94.5 billion, up 15 percent. Google Search and other products powered the gains with 17 percent growth, while subscriptions, platforms and devices increased 15 percent. YouTube advertising revenue climbed 13 percent, showing the staying power of online video despite shifting digital habits.
But the biggest headline came from Google Cloud, which exploded with an 82 percent revenue increase to USD24.8 billion. The surge was fueled by booming demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure, enterprise AI solutions and cloud services as companies accelerate their digital transformation.
Alphabet’s bottom line also surged. Operating income rose 30 percent, pushing operating margin higher to 34 percent. Net income available to common stockholders soared 298 percent, while earnings per share jumped 294 percent to USD9.11.
Chief Executive Officer Sundar Pichai said Alphabet’s AI investments are reshaping every corner of the business, from search to enterprise computing.
The company said Gemini Enterprise is now being used by nearly 90 percent of Fortune 100 companies, while the Gemini app has reached 950 million monthly active users. Gemini models are processing 22 billion API tokens every minute, highlighting the accelerating scale of AI adoption.
The results reinforce Alphabet’s strategy of building an end-to-end AI ecosystem, linking powerful models with massive computing capacity and global consumer platforms.
As the race for AI dominance intensifies, Alphabet is showing that artificial intelligence is no longer just a technology story. It is becoming a major revenue driver, reshaping how the world searches, works and does business.
