Vivant retail arm signs 20-MW power deal with FDC Misamis

COREnergy, the retail electricity arm of Vivant Energy, has sealed a two-year power supply agreement with FDC Misamis Power Corp. for 20 megawatts of baseload power to serve contestable customers. No financial details were disclosed. FDC Misamis runs a 405-MW coal-fired facility in Misamis Oriental. The deal boosts COREnergy’s supply capacity and lets it serve more businesses outside Metro Manila. Vivant Corp. earlier announced a P67-billion budget for energy and water ventures up to 2030, targeting 1,000 MW in total capacity with at least 30% from renewables.
