The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is hosting a special two-day event titled “Discover the Magic of Saving: BPI Jumpstart” at the Glorietta Activity Center on August 1 and 2, inviting families, young dreamers, and Disney fans to experience learning about savings in a fun, engaging way. Open primarily to children aged 7 to 12 and extended to those up to 17 years old, the event serves as the official showcase for BPI’s new Jumpstart savings account, which blends practical banking features, financial education, and interactive digital elements.
At the core of the Jumpstart account are three key tools designed to make saving an enjoyable habit: a Disney-themed card sleeve available in designs featuring Disney Princesses, Spider-Man, and Mickey Mouse and Friends that works like a modern piggy bank; a specially developed Jumpstart Book that teaches basic money concepts through stories and hands-on exercises; and a kid-friendly web app that lets children earn rewards for completing chores or answering learning questions, while tracking their progress alongside their parents.
The event brings these elements to life through large interactive installations and activity zones themed around the Jumpstart tools and popular Disney characters. On-site facilities will also be available for families who wish to open a Jumpstart account right away, along with exclusive event-only offers on select Disney-themed packages for payments made using a BPI Debit Card. Ginbee Go, BPI Head of Consumer Banking, shared that the new product is part of the bank’s long-standing goal to help parents lay down solid financial foundations for their children, one small positive habit at a time.
The event runs from 1 PM to 9 PM on August 1, and from 10 AM to 9 PM on August 2 with no pre-registration required. This launch is among the key activities marking BPI’s 175th anniversary, highlighting the bank’s ongoing commitment to empowering Filipinos of all ages through accessible financial solutions and education.
