Manila Water Co. Inc. on Tuesday confirmed it remains on track to complete the P5.44 billion Kaysakat Water Treatment Plant in Antipolo City within the year. Capable of producing 220 million liters of potable water daily, the facility will boost supply reliability across the East Zone amid El Niño risks and falling water levels at Angat Dam. Once operational, it will serve over one million people in Antipolo and nearby Rizal towns, supporting round-the-clock service for all 7.9 million customers across the concession area while strengthening defenses against climate shifts and rising demand. The project forms part of the company’s broader plan to diversify water sources, alongside existing supply drawn from Laguna Lake systems.
