Central Luzon’s economy grew 4.5 percenr in 2025, with industry making up 41.8 percent of output, per the Philippine Statistics Authority.
Sustaining this expansion requires reliable water infrastructure, which Tubig Pilipinas Group Inc. (TPGI) will deliver through a 25-year joint venture with the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).
Signed July 23, 2026, and backed by P1.34 billion in investment, the agreement covers upgrading, operating, and expanding water supply and sewage services at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
The project will add 27 million liters per day in treatment capacity, upgrade 68 kilometers of pipelines, and cut water losses from 51 percent to 20 percent by 2039 using smart monitoring tools. FAB, named Asia-Pacific Industrial Zone of the Year 2025, is set to grow further with the upcoming Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge.
Operations will start in May 2027 after a nine-month transition period.
