Atome Philippines has partnered with ECPay to let users buy Globe, SMART, and DITO prepaid load directly through the Atome app and pay using their Atome Card. ECPay is part of Mynt, Globe Telecom’s fintech arm that runs GCash, and operates one of the country’s largest payment networks.
Atome has issued over 3 million cards in the Philippines, with 80 percent being first-time cardholders and 65 percent women, mostly used for daily expenses. ECPay CEO Maria Patricia Antonia Pascual said the partnership makes an essential service more accessible, while Atome Philippines chief Christian Quiros noted users can now budget for load and earn rewards points alongside other regular spending.
