Sun Life keeps quarterly dividend unchanged

Canada-based insurance firm Sun Life Financial Inc. declared an unchanged quarterly dividend of CAD0.96 per common share, payable on Sept. 29 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 26.

The board also declared dividends on its Class A non-cumulative preferred shares, also payable on Sept. 29 to shareholders of record on Aug. 26. Holders of Series 3 and Series 4 preferred shares will receive CAD0.278125 per share each, while Series 5 shareholders will receive CAD0.281250 per share. Dividends were also declared at CAD0.264375 per share for Series 8R, CAD0.235230 for Series 9QR, CAD0.185438 for Series 10R, and CAD0.283121 for Series 11QR.

The common share dividend is unchanged from the previous quarter.

Under Sun Life’s Canadian Dividend Reinvestment and Share Purchase Plan, common shares acquired through the program will be purchased on the open market through the Toronto Stock Exchange and other Canadian trading platforms.

Sun Life designated all of the dividends as eligible dividends under Canada’s Income Tax Act.

As of June 30, 2026, Sun Life had CAD1.70 trillion in assets under management.
