Adarna House is taking its Filipino children’s content beyond books through a partnership with digital design platform Canva, creating a new channel for its stories and learning materials to reach students, teachers and families.
The 46-year-old publisher has launched the Adarna House Creative Library on Canva, offering printable pages, illustrated elements and customizable templates drawn from its catalog.
The move expands Adarna’s intellectual property into digital learning and creative activities, allowing its content to be used beyond traditional book reading.
The initial collection includes materials from Sanayang Adarna, Kaya Kong Magsulat! and Kaya Kong Gumuhit!, which can be used for coloring, writing and drawing activities.
Future releases will include book-report guides, reading activities, classroom resources and templates inspired by Filipino classics such as Ibong Adarna and Florante at Laura.
“Our mission is to keep Filipino culture alive through storytelling and touch lives across generations,” Adarna House President Asa Montenejo said.
“Partnering with Canva means our stories don’t just stay on a page; they become lessons, projects, and keepsakes that generations of Filipino learners can shape for themselves,” she added.
For Adarna, the partnership offers another route to grow the audience for its content as learning increasingly spans print and digital formats.
Canva Philippines Country Manager Laura Kantor said the collaboration would give educators and families new ways to engage with Filipino folklore while encouraging creativity among young learners.
The partnership will be featured at the Manila International Book Fair, which runs from Sept. 9 to 13.
