Maya, the countey’s leading digital financial services platform, has capped an unbeaten run to claim the Corporate Division 3 Cup at the 2026 Corporate Football League, showcasing the same teamwork that drives its work in payments and digital banking solutions for consumers and businesses.
The Maya squad brought together employees from across the organization—including product development, engineering, technology, data science, consumer business, credit, enterprise, strategic partnerships, marketing, corporate affairs, and strategy and programs. This cross-functional makeup mirrors the company’s dynamic, people-centric culture. Playing at Atleta ’63 Turf Field in Bridgetowne, Pasig City, Maya defeated Shopee 3-1 in the final to complete a nine-match unbeaten streak from July to August. The team scored 31 goals and conceded only three throughout the tournament. Along the way, they secured wins against UnionBank, Wells Fargo, GCash, JPMorgan Chase, RCM, and Globe, before beating UnionBank 2-0 in the semifinals.
“We came from very different teams across Maya, but on the pitch everyone had one priority: do what the team needed,” said Mohamed Omar Mahmoud, Maya football team co-captain and senior strategic partnerships officer. “People showed up, trained hard and trusted one another. Going 9–0 was special, but the best part was winning it together.”
