The Philippine information technology-business process management (IT-BPM) industry is targeting USD50.5 billion in revenue and 2.14 million jobs by 2028, with plans to expand employment while shifting toward higher-value services.
In his President’s Report at the International IT-BPM Summit on Wednesday, IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) President and CEO Jack Madrid said the industry aims to raise revenue per employee to USD23,600 by 2028.
The target marks a significant increase from 2025, when industry revenue topped USD40 billion and employment reached 1.89 million.
IBPAP forecasts revenue of USD42.3 billion and employment of 1.94 million in 2026, rising to USD45 billion and 1.99 million in 2027. Revenue per employee is expected to reach USD21,800 in 2026 and USD 22,600 in 2027.
Madrid said the industry must pursue “more jobs, better jobs, more valuable work.”
To support growth, IBPAP plans to develop more than two million AI-enabled Filipino digital workers by 2028, focusing on technical skills and emerging technologies.
The group also sees growth potential in analytics, cybersecurity, finance transformation and AI operations, while positioning the Philippines as a regional hub for multinational enterprises and global capability centers.
