The Philippine Airlines (PAL) plans to start nonstop flights from Manila to Delhi and Mumbai in December 2026, pending approval from the Indian government. These services will create the first direct air links between the Philippines and two of India’s key cities, offering Filipino travelers easier access for business, leisure, and cultural visits.
PAL President Richard Nuttall said opening these routes strengthens the airline’s network in one of Asia’s most dynamic economies. He noted the flights will open new opportunities for Filipinos to experience India while supporting the rising flow of people, commerce, and goods between both nations.
Flights to Delhi will run three times weekly—Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Mumbai services will operate four times each week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. All flights use the Airbus A321neo, carrying 168 passengers with 12 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 156 in Economy. Full in-flight meals, entertainment, and signature PAL service are included.
Delhi serves as India’s political center, historic hub, and northern gateway, while Mumbai stands as the nation’s financial and commercial heart and a major cultural and entertainment base. The two cities provide distinct entry points suited to different travel needs.
The routes will also boost cargo capacity between the two countries, linking shipments to PAL’s broader international freight network. Travel is further simplified as Filipino passport holders qualify for India’s e-Visa system, streamlining trip planning.
PAL currently flies nonstop from Manila and Cebu to 29 domestic destinations and 40 international destinations spanning Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.
