Teleperformance (TP) is opening more than 1,000 jobs at its newest Pasay City hub, signaling continued demand for Filipino workers as artificial intelligence reshapes the country’s outsourcing industry.
The new facility at Four E-Com Center in the SM Mall of Asia complex is TP’s 29th Philippine site and its second in Pasay. It adds to the company’s operations at the MAAX Building, which employ more than 5,000 customer experts.
The expansion comes as the industry faces growing concerns over AI-driven job displacement. But employment and revenues continue to rise as outsourcing companies move toward higher-value services that require human judgment, technical expertise and oversight of AI-enabled systems.
“Our expansion in Pasay reflects our global clients’ continued confidence in the Philippines and in Filipino talent’s ability to thrive with technology,” TP Philippines CEO Rahul Jolly said.
“AI is reshaping work while expanding what people can achieve. For TP, the opportunity is to combine AI with our people’s expertise and emotional intelligence, empowering them to take on more complex work.”
Industry employment in the Philippines reached 1.89 million in 2025, generating about $40.3 billion in revenue, according to the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), despite the rapid adoption of generative AI.
HSBC Global Investment Research has also found that fears of an AI-driven collapse in Philippine outsourcing have yet to materialize.
TP’s latest expansion highlights the industry’s shift toward hybrid operations, with automation handling routine tasks while employees take on more complex customer interactions, problem-solving and AI-enabled workflows.
The company now employs about 60,000 people nationwide across Metro Manila and regional sites.
