Local fuel prices roll back this week after three consecutive weeks of increases, the Department of Energy (DOE) announced Monday.
Effective 6 a.m. Sept 29: Seaoil cuts gasoline ₱0.24/L, diesel ₱7.57/L, kerosene ₱5.85/L. Jetti lowers gasoline ₱0.30/L, diesel ₱7.60/L.
The relief follows three weeks of total hikes: gasoline ₱15.25/L, diesel ₱18.31/L, kerosene ₱16.67/L—including last week’s jump of ₱4.88, ₱8.82, and ₱6.47 respectively.
Sept 22–28 NCR averages: regular gasoline ₱88.70/L, diesel ₱103.30/L, kerosene ₱130.90/L—still far above pre-Middle East conflict levels (₱53, ₱60.79, ₱84.67/L in late Feb–early Mar).
Jetti President Leo Bellas cited falling global rates: UN diplomacy hopes for Iran conflict, higher Saudi supply, and improved Red Sea shipping eased concerns. Cuts could have been deeper, he added, as Iran’s UN remarks mixed firmness with openness to talks.
Consumers see meaningful savings—especially diesel and kerosene users—though prices remain elevated year-to-date.
