The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) reported that its 138-kilovolt Baloi-Aurora Tower No. 14 in barangay Paiton, Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte was toppled by a bomb that killed a person on Friday.
The company said even with the tower toppled, power was quickly restored and its repair to start as soon as the area is secured in coordination and the perpetrators identified.
In October 2022, NGCP reported one of its towers in the same area was bombed, forcing a manual load dropping to prevent overloading .
