    Sugar imports under scrutiny amid new smuggling bust

    The Department of Agriculture (DA), the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), and the Bureau of Customs seized four container vans carrying smuggled refined sugar during an inspection in Manila on Thursday, signaling heightened enforcement against agricultural smuggling.

    120,000 workers to get P20 rice starting June

    The Department of Agriculture (DA) announced Wednesday that 120,000 minimum wage earners nationwide will be the first to benefit from the subsidized rice program offering P20 per kilo, starting June.
