DFNN executive lineup betrays importance of non-IT gaming revenue

DFNN Inc., technology provider to the gaming industry, has named Ricardo F. Banaag as president and CEO.

Banaag, formerly COO, replaces Calvin Lim, who’s now executive operating director. Their appointments took effect on June 2.

“I am honored to have this opportunity to lead team DFNN to a sustained growth trajectory across its core and emerging lines of business,” Banaag said.

Banaag has the depth of corporate experience in developing the ICT Industry in the Philippines. Prior to joining DFNN, Banaag was president and country manager for Intel Microelectronics Philippines Inc., a position he held for over 16 years.

In that role, he was responsible for all of Intel’s sales, marketing, and customer support operations in the Philippines.

Previous to joining Intel, Banaag ran IBM’s personal computer company and managed the entire PC marketing and support operations for IBM Philippines.

DFNN also appointed Donald Limcaco as chief information officer. He will also serve as COO of several DFNN operating subsidiaries.

“As the incoming CIO and COO of various subsidiaries, there is recognition that the traditional roles have transformed to bring synergies from technology coupled with operational excellence. I look forward to strengthening client relationships, establishing credibility with our shareholders, and driving impactful business outcomes,” Limcaco said.

Limcaco has over thirty years of experience in management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, program and portfolio management, and Agile/DevOps for Fortune 500 organizations across North America, Europe and Asia.

He is an accomplished practitioner in IT operations, change enablement, and strategic planning.

Meanwhile, Jacob Edel was also appointed as vice president for marketing.

He graduated from Copenhagen University with a degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in strategic management from Oslo University.

Prior to these appointments, DFNN appointed Mark Allan E. de Ungria  as chief revenue officer and Francis Formalejo as chief technology officer.

DFNN said the appointments highlight its strategy of expanding its management team to allow its non-IT gaming related projects to expand revenue stream.
