The Bureau of the Treasury awarded in full the P30 billion in treasury bonds due August 2033 on strong demand from the market.
Total tender reached P65.93 billion for the bonds, which were originally issued as a 10-year debt paper on 17 August this year at a coupon of 6.625 percent.
The auction committee awarded the bond at an average rate of 6.781 percent in line with the yields in the secondary debt market.
At Monday’s treasury bill auction, yields fell following a slowdown in October inflation and comments from the central bank it could pause its policy tightening when during its monetary board meeting on Thursday.
