Smart Communications, Inc. has partnered with KKday to provide seamless 5G connectivity to millions of tourists in the Philippines.
Smart’s partnership with KKDay, one of Asia’s top travel e-commerce platforms, will allow tourists visiting the Philippines to conveniently purchase Smart 5G SIMs, eSIMs or Tourist SIMs ahead of time, enabling them to plan their travel more efficiently.

Our goal is to elevate their experience and firmly establish the country as a premier global tourist destination,” John Y. Palanca, PLDT and Smart senior vice president and head of sales, said.
“Our partnership with Smart allows us to provide more telco services to millions of active users and enrich their tourist experience when they decide to visit the Philippines either for business or vacation,” Hans Tegjeu, KKday country manager for Malaysia and Philippines said.
Smart’s partnership with Newport [Advantage Products Corporation] and KKDay will enable travelers who purchase their Smart SIMs online via the KKday app or website to pick up physical SIMs and carded e-SIMs in the designated Smart booths in all arrival terminals at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) soon.
“This new partnership will enable us to expand our market and deliver world-class mobile and 5G services to KKday users who plan to travel to the Philippines, and at the same time, add to the ever-growing list of credible brands in our partners’ portfolio,” Chito M. Franco, consumer sales vice president and head of key accounts at PLDT and Smart, said.
Smart and TNT eSIMs are powered by Smart’s mobile network which was recently recognized for delivering the country’s Best 5G Coverage Experience, according to the latest report by independent analytics firm Opensignal.
Smart’s mobile network covers 97 percent of the population and forms part of the country’s largest integrated network that includes PLDT’s 1.1 million kilometer fiber internet infrastructure.
