Robinsons Land, BCDA in joint development of 6.1-hectare Bonifacio estate

Robinsons Land Corp. on Friday unveiled its latest major project, the Bonifacio Capital District, a mixed-use development in Taguig City that will be developed in partnership with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority.

Bonifacio Capital, which covers 6.1 hectares, will integrate residential, commercial, office, hotel, and recreational spaces into a cohesive urban community. It will feature energy-saving technologies, passive cooling architecture, and IoT solutions, with utilities to be placed underground to maintain the area’s aesthetic and functional appeal.

“We are committed to building sustainable and innovative spaces that enhance the quality of life. The Bonifacio Capital District reflects our dedication to contributing to the growth of this vibrant area,” said RLC senior vice-president and business unit general manager Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio in a statement.

Located near the New Senate Building and major thoroughfares such as Lawton Avenue and the South Luzon Expressway, the project will also benefit from proximity to the Lawton station of the Metro Manila Subway Project. Additionally, the planned Bonifacio South Main Boulevard will improve access to key areas in Taguig and ease traffic congestion.

RLC brings extensive experience to this venture, with a track record of successful real estate projects, including Bridgetowne Destination Estate and Sierra Valley Gardens.

“This landmark project is part of the BCDA’s initiative to create sustainable communities and maximize the economic potential of our assets. With RLC’s collaboration, we aim to set a model for development around subway and railway stations,” said BCDA president and chief executive officer Joshua M. Bingcang.

The Bonifacio Capital District aligns with RLC’s “Live, Work, Play, Inspire” mantra and the “15-minute cities” concept, offering a self-contained environment with residential, commercial, and recreational facilities all within walking distance.
Financial details of the project weren’t immediately disclosed.
