Golden MV acquires 3 Villar companies for P5.2 billion

Golden MV Holdings, Inc., one of the real estate development arms of the Villar Group, said Tuesday it acquired companies from entities controlled by billionaire Manuel B. Villar, Jr. for approximately P5.2 billion.

The acquisition provides Golden MV with access to 396.88 hectares of prime land in Villar City, a major development project covering 3,500 hectares across Metro Manila and parts of Cavite.

Villar City aims to establish a “new center of gravity” in Metro Manila, integrating economic, cultural, and leisure activities into a cohesive urban environment. This ambitious project, covering 15 cities and municipalities, is designed to create a “city within cities,” redefining modern living.

With the acquisition, Golden MV is poised to enhance its asset portfolio and solidify its role in the development of Villar City. The project is set to feature various amenities, including golf courses, a church, an events arena, a university, and an entertainment complex, positioning it as a future megalopolis in the Philippines.

Golden MV’s focus on Villar City aligns with its goal of becoming a pivotal player in the region’s urban development. Meanwhile, Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc. will continue to pursue its own development initiatives across the country, allowing both companies to operate under a complementary strategy that supports the Villar Group’s vision for sustainable urban growth.
