Thai-based SHERA is expanding its footprint in the construction sector by introducing a range of advanced fiber cement products, including the innovative SHERA Board Pro. Set to open its first local manufacturing plant in March 2025, the company aims to further solidify its position as a leader in the market, where it currently holds over 40 percent share.
The new product lineup features SHERA’s Fybertec Technology, which strengthens the company’s fiber cement boards, improving their toughness, flexibility, and resistance to harsh weather, fire, water, and termites. This technology not only enhances durability but also reduces installation and painting costs by up to 20 percent. SHERA Board Pro is designed to meet the diverse and demanding needs of Filipino homeowners and builders.
“By introducing our innovative products, we aim to grow our market share and position SHERA as the go-to brand for durable, reliable, and sustainable building materials,” said Thunnop Jumpasri, SHERA Philippines country head. The company’s expanded product portfolio includes moisture-resistant gypsum boards and eco-friendly SPC flooring, all designed to accelerate construction while promoting sustainability.
With the opening of its Pampanga facility, SHERA expects to produce up to 200,000 tons of fiber cement annually, leveraging AI and IoT technology to streamline operations and reduce reliance on imports. SHERA’s commitment to eco-friendly construction materials aligns with the growing demand for sustainable buildings in the Philippines, driven by both government mandates and consumer preference.
