San Miguel Corporation (SMC) has earned top accolades for corporate social responsibility and sustainability reporting at the 2025 Global Good Governance (3G) Awards held recently in Brunei—further reinforcing its standing as a leader in purpose-driven business.
SMC clinched the 3G Leadership Award in CSR and the 3G Best Sustainability Reporting Award, rising above a competitive field of global nominees. The awards, given by UK-based Cambridge International Finance Advisory (Cambridge IFA), recognize organizations with exceptional contributions to sustainability, transparency, and good governance.
“It’s an honor to be counted among globally respected companies,” said SMC President and CEO Ramon S. Ang. “We’ve worked not only to grow, but to be a force for good in nation-building.”
The selection process, which began in late 2024, involved a rigorous multi-tier review by experts from academia, government, and the private sector. Key criteria included measurable impact, innovation, transparency, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The 3G Best Sustainability Reporting award celebrates companies that go beyond compliance—clearly integrating environmental and social performance into business strategy.
Meanwhile, the Leadership in CSR award is reserved for firms that demonstrate long-term, high-impact programs that improve lives.
For SMC, these recognitions are more than just trophies—they reflect years of integrating ESG principles into its operations, from infrastructure to food security and disaster response.
