Intel launches new AI-powered laptops in Manila

Intel on Thursday announced the release of new laptops powered by its latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors, now available across the Philippines. The devices, made by major brands like ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI, aim to deliver faster performance, better graphics, and improved energy efficiency.

The processors were first introduced at CES 2026 and are designed for the next generation of AI-enabled computers. They combine a central processor (CPU), graphics processor (GPU), and a neural processing unit (NPU) to handle AI tasks directly on the device. This allows features such as smarter productivity tools, enhanced content creation, and improved online collaboration.

Key features include longer battery life, stronger AI performance with up to 50 TOPS (trillions of operations per second), and upgraded graphics for gaming and visual tasks. These improvements are built into thin and lightweight laptops designed for both work and mobility.

Intel said more than 200 laptop models worldwide will use the new Core Ultra Series 3 chips, including a wide range of devices for consumers, businesses, and gamers in the Philippines throughout 2026.

Alongside premium models, Intel also introduced the more affordable Core Series 3 processors. These are aimed at students, families, and small businesses, offering better performance and AI-ready features at lower price points. Compared to older PCs, these chips can deliver up to 47% faster single-task performance and up to 2.8 times better AI graphics performance.

The new systems will also support modern connectivity features like Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6. Over 70 devices using Core Series 3 processors are expected to launch globally in the coming months.

Intel says the rollout is part of its effort to make AI-powered computing more accessible and useful for everyday users.
