Ortigas Malls has partnered with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines to open a new help desk focused on intellectual property (IP) rights at VMall in San Juan City.
The help desk, operated with the National Committee on Intellectual Property Rights, aims to promote ethical business practices and encourage the sale of authentic products in Greenhills. It also supports the mall’s plan to position the area as a trusted destination for genuine local goods.
Through the initiative, merchants can get advice on trademark registration, report IP violations, and access assistance from agencies like the Department of Trade and Industry and Food and Drug Administration.
Ortigas Malls said the program focuses on helping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including long-time vendors, shift toward legitimate and locally made products. The help desk also provides education on IP protection and business compliance.
Officials say the project is part of a broader effort to protect innovation, strengthen fair competition, and build consumer trust. The facility is now open on the fourth floor of VMall.
