VITRO Inc. has expanded its partnership with 8990 Housing Development Corporation to support the latter’s IT infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted business operations as it grows nationwide.
8990 HDC, a subsidiary of 8990 Holdings, Inc., is known for its affordable housing brands Deca Homes and Urban Deca Homes. The company has prioritized reliable system access as it expands across the country.
The partnership began in 2019, with 8990 HDC hosting key systems at VITRO Cebu. In 2025, it expanded to VITRO Makati 2 to strengthen business continuity and disaster recovery. All sales offices nationwide are now connected to these systems, enabling real-time data access and continuous operations.
The company said its systems remained fully operational during disruptions such as Typhoon Odette and recent earthquakes in Visayas and Mindanao, highlighting the reliability of its infrastructure.
8990 HDC CFO Roan Torregoza said the investment in colocation has proven critical, especially during calamities, and expects the partnership to continue long term.
VITRO officials said they remain committed to providing secure and always-available infrastructure, while PLDT Enterprise emphasized its role in helping businesses scale through integrated digital solutions.
The expanded partnership underscores the growing demand for resilient IT systems, particularly in sectors like real estate.
