Asurion PH expands services beyond core operations

Asurion Philippines is scaling up its customer solutions business as it broadens its footprint beyond its long-standing manufacturing and repair operations.

The company, part of global tech care provider Asurion, began in 2009 as a focused electronics repair and manufacturing facility.

It has since evolved into a multi-faceted organization spanning manufacturing, customer solutions, and IT services. Today, it operates six sites across Nuvali, Iloilo City, Clark Freeport Zone, Cebu City, and Calamba, serving markets in the Asia-Pacific, the United States, and Europe.

Asurion Philippines employs more than 7,400 workers and delivers a range of services, including device insurance, repair, and round-the-clock technical support. The company is now pushing to expand its customer solutions division, reflecting rising demand for integrated, end-to-end services.

“That’s the goal. We all want to improve. If we can expand what we do—not only focusing on repair and manufacturing, but also insurance services or anything else we’re capable of,” said Dondi Santos, transportation manager at Asurion Philippines.

The company said it is exploring additional service offerings as part of its growth strategy, leveraging its existing operational base while adapting to shifting client needs.

Despite the expansion, Asurion Philippines said its manufacturing business remains a key differentiator. Unlike many business process outsourcing firms in the country, only a handful operate electronics repair and manufacturing at scale, giving the company a distinct position in the market.

Compliance and operational standards are also central to its growth. The firm maintains certifications from the International Organization for Standardization, as well as participation in the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism and Authorized Economic Operator programs.

Operating 24/7, Asurion Philippines imports components for processing at its Calamba facility and exports finished products to global clients. It also continues its logistics collaboration with FedEx to support growing shipment volumes.
