Aboitiz Construction is strengthening its role in industrial reliability and plant efficiency as its maintenance business segment, ACI Plus, completes its first full year of operations at the Republic Cement & Building Materials, Inc. plants in Teresa, Rizal, and Danao City, Cebu.
The milestone reflects the growing demand for specialized maintenance services as manufacturers and infrastructure firms prioritize operational uptime, cost efficiency, and asset reliability amid sustained industrial activity in the Philippines.
Since beginning operations last year, ACI Plus has provided continuous maintenance support at Republic Cement’s Teresa Plant 1, handling industrial housekeeping as well as buildings and grounds maintenance.
In Cebu, the company deployed technical manpower and carried out routine mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and facilities maintenance at the Danao plant.
Beyond supporting plant operations, the partnership also generated jobs in host communities, with Aboitiz Construction hiring nearly 100 personnel across the two facilities to support expanding maintenance requirements.
Sebastian Aboitiz, deputy chief operating officer of ACI Plus, said the successful operations highlight the company’s growing capability to manage complex industrial maintenance requirements across multiple sites.
Republic Cement president Reinier Dizon said the company places high value on safety, reliability, and operational excellence, noting that ACI Plus consistently delivered on these priorities throughout the partnership.
Preventive and routine maintenance are becoming increasingly critical for cement manufacturers, where unplanned downtime can significantly affect production output and operating costs.
The successful first year of operations also strengthens ACI Plus’ expanding maintenance portfolio as more industrial firms outsource specialized maintenance functions to improve efficiency and ensure long-term operational continuity.
