The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines has elected Dr. Diana Edralin as its new president, making history as the first Filipina to lead the business chamber.
Edralin, who also serves as general manager of Roche Philippines, was elected during the chamber’s Annual General Membership Meeting and Sunset Socials held May 26 at Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
She succeeds outgoing ECCP president Paulo Duarte, whose three-year tenure was credited with strengthening the chamber’s policy advocacy efforts and deepening engagement with industries and government stakeholders.
The chamber also elected two new members to its Board of Directors: Ruben Camba, managing director for Southeast Asia at ACCIONA, and Liher Urbizu, president and managing director of SAP Southeast Asia.
Named vice presidents for 2026–2027 were Lars Wittig, Camba, and Roman Menz, while Albert Perez was elected treasurer. Judge Cesar Cruz will continue serving as corporate secretary.
The ECCP said the new board will lead efforts to further strengthen trade, investment, and economic ties between Europe and the Philippines.
The leadership transition comes as European-Philippine economic relations gain momentum following the sixth round of negotiations earlier this month for the proposed EU-Philippines Free Trade Agreement.
