Amid mounting food security risks, supply chain bottlenecks, and sustainability pressures across Asia, Aboitiz Foods is accelerating expansion through acquisitions, digital innovation, and strategic partnerships to capture growth opportunities in the region’s agriculture sector.
The agribusiness firm recently completed the full acquisition of Singapore-based Diasham Resources, a move that significantly broadens its presence across key Asia-Pacific markets, including China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. The deal also strengthens Aboitiz Foods’ portfolio of animal nutrition and health products, a fast-growing segment driven by rising demand for more efficient livestock production.
“This acquisition allows us to offer a more complete and integrated range of solutions to our customers,” said Aboitiz Foods president and chief executive officer Tristan Aboitiz, underscoring the company’s strategy of expanding its footprint across the food value chain.
Alongside geographic expansion, the company is investing heavily in technology to improve productivity and resilience. Through its internal innovation platform, The Mill, employees are encouraged to develop solutions that enhance operations and customer outcomes.
Aboitiz Foods also became the first company in the Philippines to deploy Amazon Web Services Outposts in its manufacturing facilities, enabling real-time data processing and strengthening operational continuity.
The company is further building regional influence through Agriconnect, a platform that links veterinarians, nutritionists, and industry experts across Asia, while talent-development initiatives such as MasaGaling and Project Synergea aim to address long-term workforce needs in agriculture.
The expansion push comes as agribusiness firms across the region race to secure supply chains and improve food production efficiency, positioning Aboitiz Foods to play a larger role in Asia’s evolving food systems.
