Digital lender GoTyme Bank has introduced a new feature enabling customers to send money to more than 170 countries directly through its mobile app. Powered by global cross-border payments provider Wise, the service supports transactions in eight major currencies: Australian dollar, Chinese yuan, British pound, Japanese yen, South Korean won, Singapore dollar, and US dollar.
The bank emphasized transparent pricing, using real mid-market exchange rates and showing users upfront exactly how much the recipient will get, with no hidden charges. The launch responds to rising demand for easier cross-border transactions, commonly used for education, healthcare, travel, business, and family support.
Since teaming up with Wise last year, GoTyme has recorded an over 85-percent rise in unique users for its international payment tools, reflecting strong public preference for faster, clearer, and more affordable ways to move funds overseas. According to Shern Teo, the bank’s chief strategy and proposition officer, the new offering aligns with customers’ increasingly global lifestyles and needs. It forms part of the bank’s goal to integrate accessible global financial services into everyday banking, so users can handle both local and international transactions all in one place. Wise is widely recognized in the industry for fair rates and clear fee structures.
The service expands access to global remittance services for Filipinos, improves transparency and cost efficiency compared to traditional channels, and supports growing cross-border financial activities essential to households and businesses across the country.
