Braving rough waters and difficult terrain, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has delivered essential technology and learning equipment to isolated schools nationwide under its Adopt-a-School Program (ASP). Recent turnovers reached Homonhon National High School in Eastern Samar, Liponpon Elementary School in Batangas, Malilipot Central School in Albay, and Bacak Elementary School in Catanduanes, with items including laptops, smart TVs, printers, and power units transported by sea and over land.
This effort supports the national goal of inclusive education, ensuring no learner is left behind due to location or limited resources. In partnership with the Department of Education, GSIS will distribute ₱12 million worth of aid to 30 public schools, with each receiving a ₱400,000 package tailored to their needs. As part of its corporate social responsibility, the program bridges the digital divide, improves classroom conditions, and invests in equal opportunities for Filipino students.
