Manila Electric Company (Meralco), through its One Meralco Foundation (OMF), has launched relief operations after a strong earthquake hit Southern Mindanao.
OMF is distributing food packs, water, and solar lanterns in General Santos City, Sarangani, and nearby towns. Supplies are prioritized for hospitals and evacuation centers, with more aid being readied for coastal areas.
Meralco also offered technical teams and equipment to help restore power for local utility SOCOTECO II. Officials said the move reflects the spirit of bayanihan, adding that assistance and coordination with local partners will continue as recovery needs arise.
