The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) will showcase the Casiguran International New Port and key investment opportunities at the 24th ASEAN Ports and Logistics 2026 Conference, taking place July 8–9 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
APECO president and CEO undersecretary Gil G. Taway IV will represent the agency at the event’s CEO Forum on July 8, joining over 35 international speakers—including heads of major ASEAN ports and logistics firms—to discuss how the region can adapt to trade disruptions and plan for future global shipping routes. During the session, he will present Casiguran as a vital new Pacific gateway ideal for cargo handling, storage, processing and redistribution, amid growing industry demand for reliable trade hubs.
The conference will bring together around 300 senior executives from shipping lines, freight operators, traders and related service providers across the region and beyond. Alongside its conference participation, APECO will benchmark operations at Port Klang—Malaysia’s main maritime gateway and one of the world’s busiest container ports.
From July 7 to 9, the agency will also carry out an investment mission to promote opportunities in seaport and airport development, clean energy and other priority sectors within the economic zone. It will also explore partnerships in the halal food, beverage and tourism industries, as it positions Aurora as a strategic link between ASEAN and Pacific mark
