SM Prime Holdings Inc. officially introduced its new SM Seaside Cebu Arena to business and industry partners on Thursday, advancing development at its South Road Properties (SRP) estate.
The P7 billion facility sits on over seven hectares and can hold up to 25,000 people. Designed by global firm Arquitectonica, it features Cebu’s biggest and most advanced center-hung display system, with high-quality visuals, immersive sound, and real-time data support suitable for sports matches, concerts, corporate gatherings, motorsports and other major events. It also includes 30 luxury Premier Suites, each seating 13 to 31 guests, with private amenities, dedicated lounges and exclusive entry.
Connected directly to SM Seaside City Cebu, the upcoming SMX Convention Center Seaside Cebu, and two Radisson hotels, the arena forms part of an integrated business, tourism and lifestyle hub in the Queen City of the South. SM Prime president Jeffrey C. Lim noted the project will attract more visitors, create local jobs and business opportunities, and bring top Filipino and international performers to the Visayas.
Around 400 guests from events, tourism, hospitality and corporate sectors attended the launch and viewed a preview presentation of the venue. The arena will host its first major event, the BINI Signals World Tour, on July 11, with upcoming shows by IV of Spades, TJ Monterde, KZ Tandingan, Hillsong Worship and LANY to follow.
