BPI Wealth pushes easier retirement planning on its 175th year

As the Bank of the Philippine Islands turns 175, its wealth management arm BPI Wealth is making retirement planning more accessible, calling for shared effort across all sectors to improve Filipinos’ readiness for their later years.

BPI Wealth president and CEO Maria Theresa D. Marcial said building a strong retirement culture needs teamwork from the government, employers, financial firms and the public. Through its e-Invest platform, people can open a Personal Equity and Retirement Account or PERA with just P1,000 to start saving early and grow funds over time.

BPI Wealth recently joined the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ PERA@Work Forum to raise awareness of the program. PERA gives tax benefits, flexible investments and stays with the person even if they change jobs, helping Filipinos build steady savings for the future.
